Kelly & Tony (Marylebone)

Tony and Kelly are in their own words, the most un-weddingly, wedding couple: EVER! Kelly won’t be legally changing her surname (she says it’s to much hassle) and what Tony thought of Groom’s buttonholes can’t actually be legally printed on these pages ha! It probably stems from the fact that Tony was a guitarist in a pretty successful Heavy Metal Band and Kelly is an old school ‘Rock Chick’ 5 tattoos and counting kinda girl.  But what they have in common with every other Bride & Groom and wedding I’ve ever had the privilege of covering, is the fact they love each other deeply and want to spend the rest of their lives together.  Kelly calls Tony her soul-mate, and Tony’s family said as soon as they saw Tony with Kelly, by the way he acted towards her, they knew ‘she was the one’.  They got married at Marylebone Registry Office, which is pretty Rock star in itself and then had their Reception at the Hat & Tun Pub in Hatton Cross complete with homemade bunting, flowers Kelly bought and arranged herself, Jukebox and portable photo booth.  A really nice touch was that at the ceremony, James, Kelly’s son, gave her away, was the ring bearer, presented a beautiful reading and although Tony didn’t have groomsmen as such, his Dad, brothers, James and himself all wore matching ties. To see Tony and his family interact with James, the words ‘step-son’ would never enter your head and maybe that resonates with me because of how my mum re-married and my relationship with my ‘step-dad’ is so similar…except my he doesn’t play the guitar and my mum can’t lay claim to any tattoos – well not that I know off lol! It really was an emotional, fantastic, fun-filled and relaxed day and I think that’s the vibe Tony & Kelly were going for. Congratulations and here’s some from their day…enjoy!
