Scarlet & Tim – E-Shoot (Hampstead Heath)

Scarlet & Tim wanted to do their engagement shoot in Hampstead Heath, as for them going there, in their words, was like a ‘mini escape to the country’ from the hustle and bustle of city life. One of the things I love about this job is discovering new places and it was nice for Scarlett & Tim to show me parts of the Heath I’d never been to before. They’re both unique in their style, Tim works in fashion and Scarlett, well for starters she probably wins the award for coolest name of bride, EVER……Scarlett Black – see told you it was cool, and she also rocks an awesome vintage vibe. I love their look together and the fact they were up for a laugh and trying things out – which was great because the weather plus the fading light meant we got a chance to improvise! : ) They’ve got an awesome wedding planned which includes glamping, picnics, bonfires and a cat….I can’t wait. Marcie & Ben – Wedding (Strand)

Marcie & Ben had liked each other for years at Uni but neither ever said anything until the last day, in their last term of their last year – phew!!! lol That was 7 yrs ago and last weekend they were married and had their reception at the RSA just behind the Strand in the awesome ‘vault rooms’. They also outdid themselves on decorating the place. (Marcie actually hand-painted all the table numbers – that’s what you call dedication to craft!!! HAHA) There was such a great intimate vibe on the day, and surrounded by their close family and friends, an amazing 3 course meal (green tea creme brulee anyone?) and a fantastic dessert table, that I may or may not have visited a few times, everyone definitely had a ‘rockin time. It was forecast for rain the whole day but even the weather obliged by holding off and we were able to nip out for some quick portraits as well. There’s something about a London Wedding and leaving the venue at the end of the night to the hustle and bustle of Saturday night city life, I couldn’t help but be grateful that I got to be a part of it all, I even had a cheeky bubble tea to celebrate!!! Laura & Chris – E-Shoot (Stratford Upon Avon)

Laura & Chris are high school sweethearts who got together on the last few months of their final year and then went travelling around….Australia (as you do!) Chris not only works in social housing, he’s also a Special Constable and regularly gives up his time for the force so major props to him for that. Laura is a ‘creative’ working in a creative agency dabbling in all aspects including designing their wedding stationary – so props to her for that! They’ll be getting married in October but for now we agreed to meet in Stratford Upon-Avon the birthplace of Shakespeare no less. Laura & Chris are so much fun and up for anything including trespassing in boat club houses, sitting in wet leaves and running along bridges! They’re also, in my opinion, a very good-looking couple, so I hope I did them justice!!! Here’s some from the day….

Sarah & Dan – Wedding (Eastbourne)

Where to start with this wedding? We could start with the hilarious way Dan & Sarah got together whilst mopping up after a drunken friend. We could start with their awesome venue , Birlington Manor or how they and army of friends amazingly transformed it over a week and had all the place settings based around their favourite books. Perhaps we could start with the various obstacles they faced on the morning of the wedding, like how they had no electricity when I arrived or accidentally mixing paraffin into the fountain where all the beers where being kept….er hang on second thoughts maybe we won’t!!! lol Maybe we could start with the emotional speeches and the best men speech that probably ranks amongst one of the funniest I’ve so far heard along with a side-splitting video. What about the amazing dessert table that was made up of homemade desserts brought by various guests that I might of visited more than once or the dance moves along with the evening’s live band entertainment (Colour Six), the photo both style props the……but I think it’s best to start with this was one amazing wedding that I suspect, even amongst all their ad-libbing on the day, panned out exactly how Dan & Sarah always hoped it would: personal, relaxed, full of fun with a major dash of AWESOME!!! Sarah & Owen Wedding (Nether Winchendon)

Sarah & Owen were married in St Bartholomew’s Church in Wigginton and had their reception at the beautiful Nether Winchendon House in Buckinghamshire. Their families spent the whole day before doing up the barn and the results were definitely worth it! They met 8yrs ago when Sarah was on a Uni Work Placement at Owen’s place of work and according to his best men, he quietly ‘stalked her’ before one day after driving past her every day he plucked up the courage to offer her a lift at a bus stop in the pouring rain! Sarah & Owen have travelled the world together so it was only fitting that their table settings were all places they had visited, and check out the seating plan, it’s a lot! I thought it was very sweet that during his speech, Owen recollected Sarah one time asking him after their many travels if there was one place and one person he could travel with where would it be, he replied “….anywhere as long as it was with you!…”, all together now….Ahhh. So I guess it’s only fitting that they jetted off to Costa Rica for their honeymoon to cross another country visited off their list. Congratulations Sarah & Owen – here’s a few from their day….

Tori & Dan – E-Shoot (Monument)

Tori & Dan met when Tori was modelling at Manchester Uni in a friends fashion launch and Dan from his Uni, Stoke on trent, was there to sell some of his t-shirts. Unfortunately there was a mix-up with wether Dan could sell them there and Tori and a friend ended up selling them for him. There was an instant chemistry but at the end of the night Dan was so tired he forgot to ask for Tori’s number and Tori took it as ‘…who does this guy think he is?…’ and so got his and gave him a call! From that first call Dan said there was, in his own words ‘…a deep connection…’. That was seven years ago and Tori & Dan reside in Nigeria but they’re coming over to the UK to have their wedding in Sept. Tori & Dan like to do things a little differently and their plans for their wedding sound awesome. When I say the theme for the wedding is ‘connected chemistry’ you know it’s going to be good! Needless to say Tori & Dan brought some of their sassiness, quirkiness, style and fun to this shoot. We met at Monument and had a blast. Here’s some from the day…

Sarah & Owen – E-Shoot (Nether Winchendon)

Sarah & Owen met whilst she was at a uni work placement and they’re now going to be married this weekend. Imagine that, she went in for some work experience and got a whole different kind of experience as well!!! HAHA . Sarah booked me at the last minute due to some unforeseen circumstances 12 days before the wedding….yes 12 days…on fortunately one of my last free Saturdays of the season. So yesterday I got to hang out with them at their venue and see all their plans coming to life. It’s an amazing venue and I’m sure with all their plans it’s going to be an absolute blast but I’ll save the details for their wedding blog post. For now we thought we’d go for a wander around the grounds and whilst doing so grab a few snaps. By the way Sarah works for Canon, as in camera, as in the cameras I shoot with. Owen uses a Nikon….I’m glad they’ve worked through their differences!!! LOL Here’s some from our short time together….

Marcie & Ben – E-Shoot (Strand)

Marcie & Ben were friends for 4yrs at Uni and unbeknownst to them both had ‘a thing’ for each other. Even though they hung out with same friends and went out together nothing happened. Then on the last week of the 4th year just as they were about to leave for good, Ben walked Marcie home after a night out and they both finally admitted their feelings for one another….better late than never ha! : ) That was seven years ago and now they’ll be married in the very cool RSA just off the strand in a few weeks time. So I met up with them there and whilst they were showing me the amazing ‘vault’ in which they are getting married I couldn’t resist taking a few shots of them there and we quickly progressed outside. Louise & Ash – E-Shoot (Chiswick)

Louise & Ash met briefly on the first day of Uni, and instantly Louise was attracted to Ash, so much so that in her words she started ‘kind of stalking him!’ lol Until one night at a Karaoke night in the first term, they finally got together. That was 10 yrs ago and this June they’ll be getting married at the Chapel in Oxford University no less. They’re an awesome couple and I had so much fun with them on this E-Shoot, they were really excited about taking the photos and I love it that they rocked up and in essence said “…we’ve seen your stuff, we love it, that’s why we booked you, do your thing!…”, ahh music to my ears. So in between some amazing in and out light and some fantastic backdrops in Chiswick we managed to get some shots. Here’s a few from the shoot…

Alex & Jamie – E-Shoot (Blackfriars)

Chemistry, connection what is that thing? Who know’s exactly, but Alex & jamie have it in bucket loads! Sometimes you’ve got to gently coax couples into ‘relaxing into each other’, other times you just put them in good light and let the magic happen: that’s Alex and Jamie! They’ll be getting married in Norfolk this June and can’t wait but today we met up on Blackfriars bridge and went for a wander and we had great light which was a bonus because in the morning it was chucking it down!
