Kirsty and Tom had their wedding reception at The Peasant Clerkenwell London and ceremony at Stoke Newington Town Hall. Whilst they got married in 2014 it could have easily been the 1950s because they carried the vintage look and feel so well. It kind of helped that Kirsty got ready at the Town Hall Hotel a beautiful restored Art-Deco building in the East End. She got ready with her 5 best friends and mum and once ready I was happy to get some time to take pictures of Kirsty in the hotel interior as together they were such a good fit. I think It’ll be the closest I get to stepping back into time! After that we jumped into the vintage camper van to head off to the ceremony where Tom was waiting. After that the guests were taken to the reception on some vintage buses (see told you there was a vintage theme) at The Peasant. I have to say that the food there is amazing and so I’m glad to have shot a few times there this year. We then enjoyed the speeches including one by Tom’s two older brothers which gave us some hilarious insight to Tom’s character and past followed a lovely first dance which Kirsty & Tom had prepared for with some secret dance lessons. As with most of my couples I loved how relaxed and laid back Tom and Kirsty were on the day as it really allows people to just enjoy the day. I also loved how they just trusted me to just get on and do my thing which sometimes meant running up mounds and sneaking off into the mens toilet (true story) to find interesting light. Even more so as Tom works in video editing and production so knows his way around a camera so I was really chuffed for them to have that kind of trust in me. It was an awesome day and I’ll be remembering my “trip back in time” for a good while longer. Congratulations Kirsty and Tom and thanks for allowing me to be part of your day. Here’s a few photos….
